Storyboarding, much like design documents, takes the reader on a journey through the proposed learning experience. I've always found storyboarding to be a way to experiment with ideas for web-based training although of course, as I've learned first-hand, the real test, where the rubber meets the road, is when you're developing said idea in elearning software.
